Felt Forms

Felt is an easily pliable material, for it is able to be shaped and formed while still having the ability to return to its original form.  My concept derived from my formal practice of typography and letterforms, fitting towards the transformative qualities they hold. The long band and rope of felt I fabricated are intended to be twisted, wrapped around, and transformed into letters and other abstract forms. I wanted to provide a place of interaction and engagement with letterforms, as an attempt to have the audience be part of the piece.
