To many, politics can seem boring, uneventful, and even like a waste of time. This is especially true in regards to young people, and first time voters. As a young person and first time voter myself, I see political apathy in my classmates, peers and even in myself. With the Canadian Federal Election fast approaching (October 19th, 2015), I devised this podcast, packed with young attractive people who DO know and care lots about politics so that they can teach me! If you're a young person, or first time voter who knows very little about politics, but wants an introduction to the wonderful world of Canadian Politics from someone other than city news and talking heads - this is the podcast for you! Please share this with anyone you think would benefit from this information, and encourage everyone ESPECIALLY YOUNG PEOPLE to vote for who they think is the best candidate this October. Read Less

Now that I'm of eligible voting age in Canada, I began learning what parties I aligned most with, who their leaders are, and learn how / where to vote. In my research, I found that the percentage of young people who don't vote is apalling, and figured that if I, a typical 20y/o Canadian University Student, have questions about politics and voting, then others will too.

The best way I could imagine to display this important, yet very dry, information; gather all of my smart, attractive, politically inclined friends, give them microphones, a beer and ask them questions with the cameras rolling! It worked. Not only did I learn lots from my pannel, and had confidance in my voting decisions, other young people learned too.
With over 4k views at the time of writing this, the comments section is full of thankful Young Canadians who now have a better understanding of politics, and most importantly how to vote.
