The concept is about the immersion that skaters undergo when traversing their urban environments.

 

The design features geometric patterns that evoke the rigid and structured nature of the urban landscape, and juxtaposed within these shapes are some common fixtures found around the city. A female face also dominates the facade of each shoe as they are metaphors for the city itself, an endearing entity which city-dwellers must learn to respect and fall in love with. 

 

The pair of shoes establishes the deep connection between the skater and his beloved habitat -- a perfect union between the Sole (soul) and the City.
