nido - playing carpet

Nido is a playing carpet.
Following child’s imagination it can quickly transform into various play structures.
Depending on which way the fun goes, Nido can turn into caves , castle towers or pirate ships and then with a quick move change back into an inconspicuous carpet.

Nido is a result of investigation of kid's play and kid's rooms.
Plays change organically, following mysterious rules dictated by players' imagination.
Nido is designed to inspire kids, not provide ready solutions. The built structures have unspecified shapes to work on children’s imagination. They can easily create hiding places or divide space and then change them quickly whenever they want.

By using magnets in carpet construction, the fun is simple enough that it does not need parents’ help

The carpet was tested by kids (aged 3 and 5) whose imagination and willingness to use Nido to a variety of play surpassed my highest expectations.
Carpet is made from four sheets of EVA foam, flocked and combined with material in specific points.
Magnets placed inside the foam allow to attach various parts of the carpet together in an intuitive, sort of magical way .
