Laudato Sí Branding Project

This is the source and summit of a rebranding project for the Newman Catholic Student Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I created a branding theme for them this year based on Pope Francis's 2015 encyclical letter on the environment, which is called "Laudato Sí." In Italian, "Laudato Sí, Signore Mio" means "Be you praised, my Lord."

This sign was hung throughout their center and was accompanied by a redesign of their website, logo, letterhead, business cards, and more. I also created custom water bottles, athletic bags, magnets, stickers, and pens to further the brand message. This year was also the 75th Anniversary of Catholic campus ministry at UNC-CH, so this branding was also featured in the celebration for that.

The beauty of this sign is that it incorporates Catholic ideals (God, faith, prayer), student-targeted themes (holidays, friends, hugs), and particular Chapel Hill favorites (Bskis restaurant, Yopo frozen yogurt) in one message.

It features beautiful typography called "A. Coupé," created by Philippe Apeloig for the luxury brand Hermes. It's a modern, eye-catching typeface perfect for leaving a lasting impression.
