timeline. 2 weeks
For this brief I was required to create a series of information graphics that will educate design studios or agencies about the consumption of power and the usage of materials in a design work place.
I chose to focus on reminding work places to reduce their power consumption. I chose this because power is the biggest issue environmentely in a design work place.
I designed 3 posters that would be displayed in Natcoll Design Technology. I thought about which 3 rooms would consume the most unnecessary power, (the studio, printer and kitchen) and discovered 3 strong facts about power consumption that would make you think twice about leaving printers and computers on.
The style of the posters was influenced by Jason Munn's muted color palettes, bold shapes and great eyeflow created by his layouts. The typography was influenced by the natural, geometric shapes and patterns you find in wood.
The finished posters stood 550 mm x 1240 mm tall. I also produced laptop cases, job bag stickers and fold-up canvas bags that could be used by the designers.
