Here is a commission I completed recently, my take on templar knight Guy de Lusignan who lived in 12th century. Nobody really knows how he actually looked like, since there are no images of him. My client wanted me to use a Romantic 19th century painting (by François-Edouard Picot) as a reference. I have been told that the pose and background should be similar, though I had freedom with the details. So, I decided to give the crusader a more gritty look, like someone you don't really want to mess with.
In short, this is oil on canvas, 80x60 cm.
