20 sq. meters
Poland / Bialystok / Os. Piaski
We were asked to help the young couple in rearranging the flat. It was inherited from client’s grandma - and at a time it could be a sufficient space for one person, because the space was only 20 sq. meters!
So we had to deal with 3 main aspects of the project:
- tiny space which have to accomodate living needs of young couple,
- emotional layer connected with grandma
- creating a light and vivid and open atmosphere of the space.
We decided to remove all the existing division in the flat (luckily it turned out that only the perimeter walls were the loadbearing ones because the small span). So we could operate in open plan space. We divided interior into two parts - the boxed one with entrance area, bathroom, kitchen wall and open one which plays as living room or bedroom.
The sleak white surfaces and light wood are contrasted with the furniture which are the refurbished grandma's chairs and commode.
Made with 'tiny' love :)
