I am working on the (self) publication of this work. It will be my first publication as Bureau d'Etudes Japonaises.
A street photography approach to Office Life in Tokyo.
The Salaryman Project is on a double mission.
On one hand, it explores images of masculinity and normality in the world of Tokyo office workers (also know as  salarymen).
On the other hand, by concealing the subjects’ identities, the project tries to adapt in a creative way to the increasing constraints of portraits rights on candid street photography.
Presentation as a weekly schedule (see here) allows references to office work and to the specifically Japanese sense of the season.
The work featured in:
"Street Photography Now", Thames and Hudson, 2010. By Sophie Howarth and Stephen McLaren.
"Of Salarymen and Flowers", HotShoe magazine, 2009. Article by Bill Kouwenhoven.
"Obsession of a salaryman otaku", 1000 Words Photography magazine. Article by Nathalie Belayche.

I am now working on the publication of this 6 years long investigation.
The photo book will take the form of a business schedule.
