April 2010 March For Fair Wages in Florida's Produce Fields
The Coalition of Immokalee Workers, or CIW, is a coalition of workers for Florida's central crop fields that organizes workers in the fight for a living wage.  The CIW has had many successful campaigns against big food chain corporations in their fight for a 1 cent increase per pound of produce picked by its mostly immigrant workers.  Below are images from April 2010 where the CIW members and allies marched 67 miles in three days in the blistering heat of central Florida to demand living wages.  Faith-based organizations, workers, students, artist and even children joined in the struggle.  The CIW eventually succeeded in their demands....
