Personal Branding 2015

Personal Branding 2015
Having done a good deal of professional work for 2 years (hmm, more or less), and now - taking my freelance and personal body of work seriously this time, I realized I needed to polish my brand a bit as a multimedia artist (couldn't stomach showing future employers and clients my college reel and CV anymore *shudders*), and I was surprised to sometimes still hear from some of my peers that they were still confused about what I really do.

So hopefully this might help them out *wink*!
Avatar + Business Card
I'm no designer, but I have an idea on what I didn't like. Aside from being a motion graphic artist I also illustratre characters so I started with looking at my old stickers/avatars for inspiration.

Eventually I ended up making a new one and ended up using it as part of my banner.
I also asked the printers if they could print them with rounded edges since I wanted something clean but creative, not something minimal and too strict.

(P.S. I'm just waiting for the first batch to run out. Do tell me if there's any more printing techniques I can apply to my card :)
Creative CV
I kept a lot of the elements from my old CV intact like the skill wheel and the color scheme for the apps/programs. I used a single modified bar graph to illustrate a timeline for my work experience. I had more trouble with simplifying the content. When that was over with, it was just a matter of proper layouting. I also added a texture to bring the colors alive.

Color Pallete
I used mainly, earth-y colors like brown green and more pastel versions of red and orange. To be honest, I really wanted to have red incorporated in the design, but didn't want it to intensely put off my audience.

I'm not very good at formulating a color palette, so I was pretty glad seeing how well they worked out.
Demo Reel
Lastly, but definitely not the least - (the heart of it all) my updated Demo Reel featuring some of (what I think are my best) and favorite personal short films, post-production work, LED ads, freelance/commercial videos and TV channel plugs.

I had so much fun animating the OBB... I wanted to add more elements but the eye could only look at so much for about 10 seconds.
