Picasso Deconstructed

A project designed for a patron of the arts who wishes to remember Chicago public sculptures on their travels. The goal was to create an object that could fit in an inner suit pocket, and could embody the essence of the sculpture. The chosen sculpture was Picasso's Untitledsculpture, in Daily Plaza. The solution was a paper model of hundreds of tiny strips of paper sewn and knotted together, that expand to bring the sculpture to life. However, the sculpture must be held up by a small wooden face, giving it personality and fluidity.

Made of paper, thread, and walnut.
