The new addition to this complex at the University of Kentucky will allow between connecting buildings at both street level and via a bridge. A loading dock below provides necessary access without breaking the flow through the campus.
Energy comes from the top of the building via solar panels and is distributed to each floor. Air comes in through the roof as well, and then is circulated and cleaned for improved efficiency.
A graywater system is more complex than a traditional plumbing distribution. The long-term energy and resource rewards are great, as is the benefit to the environment.
