Poster for the translucide exhibition in Annecy, France. 30 local and international artists, illustrators, graphic designers was invited to interpret one idea translucent.
The individual mind is controlled in the existence of real world that is visible. We are also guided by what is not visible as psychological impulses, the emotional, irrational actions, but also imagination and dreams. When you are unconscious, the mind operates well outside the attention of the conscious mind (Sigmund Freud). This is translucent.
How properties are processed or treated in the individual, this together make up a person's personality. The visible is thus the individual's personality, behavior and actions. The invisible is how the mental own creative are processed and treated. Individual unique unconscious behavior, feelings and impulsive desires. The invisible can take over the mind in different contexts in situations where emotions awakens as aggression, joy, passion or desire. It is processes outside the individual's control. It may be when you are unconscious or dreaming where the brain processes totally beyond human control. When I get epilepsy, which is more personal, the actual attack is visible. It is often perceived scary and bizarre for many. I’m not present and it may take a long time before I'm in the conscious state and return to the real world. In the period between unconscious and conscious, which often takes time, I'm in a different universe. I'm gone and my identity is not back before the mind has processed me back consciousness and the real. Our emotions and feelings is transparent and we are all transparent in the unconscious and in our dreams.
