As well as in tradicional painting, i think in compositing, first you must have a concept, know the "mood" you want to reach in your image, and then make some research and find the elements that would fit the most on your project.
Hope these very shorts animations can tell you about the work flow that was taken to get the final images. Sadly this plataform doesn't support wide gif animations, but i will post some images down below.

Raw vs Final Render
In this project I had the chance to work with T-rex architects, an Archviz studio by Menny Mora, an architect with a stunning archviz portfolio. Juan C. García (from T-rex Archs) gave me the raw render, so I'd be in charge for the postproduction phase, by the end I recieved some feedback from him, so I could achieve a way better final result. Was great to learn something about his vision and how he come up with his amazing results.
