PROJECT
Creating a small open space for people’s daily recreational and relaxing activities, which could be a part of an urban park or a common space of a community.
SOLUTION
SOLUTION
The design is on an area of approximately 500 sqm in the middle of Le Thi Rieng public park, which is located in a crowded district of Ho Chi Minh city.
Using mostly the straight lines and symmetrical shapes in this design, I wanted to make the atmosphere of calm and stability, which was stood for by the symbol of the park, a cubic sculpture balancing on its corner.
This statue was placed at the highest point of the space, which could be seen from everywhere in the park.
The close circulation with the stairways up and down around the construction created many different view points for people when they walked, made them more curious to discover their own interested places.
