The Cheesecake Factory story begins in Detroit, Michigan in the 1940’s. Evelyn Overton found a recipe in the local newspaper that would inspire her “Original” Cheesecake. Everyone loved her recipe so much that she decided to open a small Cheesecake shop. Today there are nearly 200 The Cheesecake Factory restaurants around the world that share the Overton’s commitment to quality and spirit of innovation and hard work.
 
The Cheesecake Factory is well known for their quality ingredients and fantastic customer service and those two facets were at the core of the new online design. The most complex part of presenting The Cheesecake Factory experience online is the sizable menu, which has more than 250 items that are handmade in-house.
 
Lightmaker helped The Cheesecake Factory create a new vision and strategy for their online presence. We completed a total reworking of TheCheesecakeFactory.com, using the CrownPeak Web Content Management System to allow for future flexibility and functionality. We created a responsive online experience that brings together a large interactive menu, a restaurant location finder, a gift card ecommerce site and an index of incredible recipes for do-it-yourselfers. The primary objective was to provide an easier user experience, particularly for customers searching for restaurant locations and menu items.
 
Lightmaker built a site experience for The Cheesecake Factory that reflects the incredible food, service and heritage to engage users in a meaningful way. By combining an uncluttered design with The Cheesecake Factory’s reinvigorated brand strategy, TheCheesecakeFactory.com gives customers a reason to visit the site and inspiration to come back.
