We're all familiar with the song "Living next door to Alice", but have you ever stopped to think, literally, who the F*** is Alice?? Like her are so many girls from lots of songs.. Michael Jackson's Billie Jean, Simon & Garfunkel's Mrs. Robinson, Cecilia, Sharona.. and many more!
For my thesis, I decided to find out who these women are and to tell their stories as pure entertainment. Today, when we think of entertainment what we're really thinking of is gossip. In the YouTube Channel I created Who's that Girl?, I present the stories of five women who inspired popular songs. Every 90-second clip tells the story of the woman behind different songs. The videos are compiled from media collected from various YouTube channels, displaying both classic and contemporary cultural icons of film and television. With these stories I invite you experience my perspective of pop culture.
