Mtundu wa namachero bakuwala {Colour tomorrow beautiful} is a collection inspired by a recent trip to the warm heart of Africa, Malawi. This infusion of African pattern & modern colours has been developed through various techniques of resist dye, watercolour and application of indian ink. Each design from the bold colours to the delicate fabric has been thoughtfully developed to echo subtle hints of Malawi. Various pieces of the collection have been designed in co-ordination to work in harmony with each other yet also as stand alone, statement elements. As I was welcomed to their home, I hope these designs provide the same sense of comfort and warmth that I felt during my time in the beautiful surroundings of lake Malawi.
