Newcastle Brown Ale is a beer brand that's existed since 1925. It was historically seen as a blue collar "Working Man's" beer in the U.K., but has gained popularity in recent years with Millennials. For Newcastles 90th Anniversary, I decided to give the branding a complete overhaul.
I discarded the previous, cliche red-and-blue-star design for something more original to make it stand out among its competitors, and to better catch the attention of it's new, younger demographic in the shopping aisle. But I incorporated European architectural details to honor it's 90 year existence as a brand with roots in England, blending the modern and the historic together.
