Disaster Field Training Operations (DFTO).  A visual itemized checklist and roadmap of the deliverable extensive and multi-faceted strategic planning process for the training of all FEMA staff and employees. 
To prepare a qualified workforce by progressing FEMA trainees to a qualified staff, this summary reviews the NY training operation life cycle and what was required to create an aggressive and successful training operation. The DFTO is the foundation by providing an extensive educational program of training for equipping the disaster workforce of the future.
Disaster Field Training Operations (DFTO).  A visual itemized checklist, goals and objectives roadmap, and disaster-specific “just in time” training for each program area of all FEMA staff. The training operation provided immediate mission-specific training with extremely large and multi-dimensional course offerings. 
 
Technology and computer training classes were provided at all-ability levels (basic, intermediate and advance) in classroom settings, one-on-one, and in small groups within program cadre areas.
 
Microsoft offerings: Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, OneNote, Communicator, and Windows. 
Tech training: iPad tablet usage, Blackberry cell phone usage, and Wireless connectivity procedures.
 
Assisted  FEMA Disaster staff with the Microsoft (MS) Project© Strategic Planning Tool and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to establish a roadmap and strategic guidelines. With each Cadre, the overall project plan development and management is at various stages.
