Why change the logo now?
Our former logo represented us well until recently, but now it does not reflect the Company we have become or our future aspirations. Now, it is brighter, more dynamic and more open, which in many ways is how we describe our culture – bold, innovative and fast paced. With the recent changes in our portfolio of technologies and addition of Connected Services, we thought this was the perfect time to design a logo that does justice to our organization and the people behind it.
 
So who are we?
We are ONE HARMAN. We are greater than the sum of our divisions or brands. We may proudly talk about our many iconic brands and describe how our technologies are transforming the car, the workplace and everywhere in between. But when we answer this question, our response should be: We are HARMAN.  
 
We work hard. We create useful, playful, beautiful things. We strive for excellence. We aim to win. We move forward as a team. We expect brilliance.
 
What do we do?
HARMAN is a connected technologies company. To reflect the evolution of our businesses and the markets we serve, we have changed our division names:
 
· Connected Car: Formerly Infotainment, this name more accurately describes the comprehensive and integrated systems that we are designing to enable the Connected Car, including augmented navigation, telematics, infotainment, multimedia, safety and security functionality, and over-the-air updating. Our customers include BMW, Daimler and Volkswagen to name just a few.
 
· Professional Solutions: This division encompasses audio, lighting, enterprise automation and video switching systems for the Entertainment and Enterprise markets. We added “solutions” to illustrate the whole-house approach we are now positioned to pursue. With the addition of Martin Lighting, AMX and strategic bolt-on technologies that provide key components for smart audio, we now offer complete IT solutions for a broad range of applications. These solutions can be found everywhere from NATO to Yankee Stadium to the BBC.
 
· Lifestyle Audio: Make no mistake. Our commitment to developing industry first advancements in audio and sound management is strong and growing. We will continue to introduce incredible innovations in luxury, headphones, home and multimedia. In addition, HARMAN has the strongest audio brand portfolio in the world, and we intend to capitalize on these assets not only through portables and speakers but also through automotive audio. Our customers want strong, differentiated brands to distinguish their cars. Top customers include BMW, Lexus and Ferrari, to name a few.  Automakers also want the latest in sound management technologies – Clari-Fi, Halosonic and Individual Sound Zones. HARMAN is THE company to provide unique solutions as well as powerful marketing programs that educate and entice discerning drivers.
 
· Connected Services: Software and Services are central to our ability to succeed in the Connected World. This division will expand our capabilities around cloud, mobility and analytics to accelerate innovations in automotive, audio, enterprise and mobile & communications.  With an impressive client base of more than 400 top companies around the world, including Microsoft, Adobe and SiriusXM, HARMAN Connected Services is poised to become the technology partner of choice.
