ClearPoint is a weather application that provides professional mariners with real-time data for all weather and water related conditions including wind, waves, and visibility. The information provided by the application helps professional sailboat racers, commercial marine vessels, and sport fishermen safely navigate the open seas.

 

 

To be useful to users out at sea, the application needed to provide highly detailed information in an easy-to-understand format, and often multiple data types at the same time. We built ClearPoint as a touchscreen app and created the different weather data points as “layers” that could be placed over each other. This allows users to, for example, compare wind and wave data simultaneously.
