Kompong Phluk is one of many floating village of Cambodia on the rivers mouthing to Tonle Sap lake. Population of this particular village is supposedly around 3000 people and beside dwellings built on stilts has also it's own 'floating' school and church. During wet seasons a boat is the only meaning of transport there. Nowadays villages like these became a tourist attractions infamous for scamming foreign visitors by overcharging at the toll gate or tricking them into buying of a bag of rice for kids imposing as an oprhans where rice is subsequently sell back to the vendor.
