A Sunday in Bogotá

Internet is full of videos about great cities. We know them, We know how they are because they have been documented during decades. But have you ever wonder, What’s going on in a South American city on Sunday?. This initial question and the joy of making Time-lapse Photography, led us to undertake an idea that will surely take us a long time to develop. “A Sunday in Bogotá”.

This Time-lapse Photography Project explores the Colombia’s Capital city heartbeat in an ordinary Sunday. It’s a tribute to a big and young latin american city that open it’s arms to people from every corner of the country. It’s a city full of opportunities for everybody, a vibrant city, a city that still stand facing this new century in a particular country like Colombia. This is a gift in it’s 477 years old.

We captured many colors, movement, shapes and life in 18.000 photos approximately. It took us 3 years to walk the city from one corner to another shooting the city and compressing that time in 3:53 minutes. Enjoy.

Places that appear in the video: El Dorado Avenue, Chapinero Alto, La Perseverancia Market, Seventh Avenue, Tequendama Hotel, National Park, Residencias del Parque, T Zone, The Flea Market, Monserrate’s Church, El Eje Ambiental, Bolivar’s Square, Nemesio Camacho El Campín Stadium, Eastern mountains, Monserrat’s view of the city, Jimenez Avenue with El Parque de los Periodistas, Los Héroes, view to the south and to the west of the city and Titán Plaza.
