DAVID BOWIE "MAJOR STARDUST" - Papercraft
This project involved making a papercraft of a creative, the whole papercraft had to be designed to be put together using no glue.
The person I picked was David Bowie in his Ziggy Stardust persona, with a little twist, of having Ziggy himself as Major Tom who is a astronaut which comes from one of David Bowies songs from the same period.
The stlye used was something quite simple but with lots of small details from stitching to a name tag and even the N.A.S.A symbols from the era. Which was part of the research for the project, as well as making sure the correct type of suit from the era was used to the eye condition David Bowie has which makes one eye’s retina seem larger than the other.
The helmet is removable and features a ariel so Ziggy can keep in contact with ground control. The helmet also features some really nice detailed air vents which are cut to stick out.
