BNIM was selected in 2012 to serve as the architect for the new Lutheran Church of Hope – Ankeny campus. The church design was informed by the previous building projects at Lutheran Church of Hope – West Des Moines. The building plan is organized to allow for multiple entrances into a clear circulation system that can be extended over time as the church expands their ministries. The church is designed with a forward-thinking transparent aesthetic so visitors can see in and worshippers can see out. The light-filled gathering space also extends along the main south façade to reach out to the community. The design positions a 70-foot tall cross above a 24/7 prayer chapel to serve as a symbol of Christ's sacrifice and HOPE's Christ-Centered mission to the community.
