This design is a proposal for the Trace disc, Son Volt. With this album, Jay Farrar sought to make a return to the origins, to the southern country, the primitivism of his people and their music. The graphic concept has accompanied the musical concept of regression to the nature and the search for roots. Using this idea, I wanted to be inspired by the roots of a tree as a basic element for the cover art. These roots become lines that make them temporary paths and teach us the way to return to the past.
