The "Berlin Corner" is a building typology which emerged at the end of the XIX century. Architects took advantage of the corner situation and created a beveled projection that would gain floor area for the interiors of the building and at the same time add a unique expressive element to the facade.
Although the typology is very common in the city, corners where the four original buildings are still standing are very rare. I find these spaces to have a strong presence and would like to capture it with photography.
With the idea for this photographic grouping I am trying to break out of the flat surface of the typical photo and move into a space of 3 dimensions, a panorama of sorts.
I would love to read your opinion and any ideas of directions in which this could go. Thank you.
