Data Venin is an experimental moving image piece produced in collaboration with the artist Charlie Dixon. We used UV sensitive paints, kitchen oil, and black light to achieve colourful and glowing effects. We wanted to achieve these effects without using any CGI (computer generated imagery). In order to do this we needed four sources of UV light close to the model at all times while shooting. Very strong UV sensitive paints and five assistants were needed to make this work. It took us one day to film and three days to edit.
