This story is told through "sound recordings," "letters," and "newspaper articles." And there are lots of italicized text that needed to be very readable. I wanted to use one typeface family throughout the book for a cohesive look to the different elements that wouldn't detract from the story, that was also highlly legible and evoked a sense of placement.
