Subject: Design a Motion Picture-poster from a lyrics.
Songtext: Clean Bandit ft. Love Ssega - Mozart's House.
Photography by: Frank Bemthuis
Models: Farin Farid Mojtahedi and Roel van den Broek

Propose of the assignment was to translate a lyrics to a Motion Picture poster. The song text I choose was from the British electronic group Clean Bandit, that combine the art of classical music with the most experimental and modern beats. Back in 2014, they already hit the charts with the #1-hit “Rather Be” featuring pop vocalist Gless Glyne. But times before that, already uploaded on YouTube back in 2010(!), they mashed-up the beats of the majestic drumcomputer with elements of String Quartet No. 21 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The sentence “Skip A Beat” has made it to the fictitious movie title, while the rhetorical question "Do you think electronic music is boring" became it’s subtitle.

Photographs are shot on own initiative at the photo studio of De Maere, ROC van Twente Enschede, with the assistance Roel van den Broek, Farin Farid Mojtahedi and Onno Dirks for the tips and tricks about the lighting. The photographs of Farin made it to the final product. To establish the fact that I, as a student in graphic design, am already capable of thinking in concepts, I preserved some shots of Roel van den Broek as model to make a different version of the movie poster.
