lxii. D*A*M* Meathead Dark
If you order a Meathead from the D*A*M* website, they say it will take 6-8 weeks to ship, which is probably fair but I don't have that kind of time. The circuit is largely similar to a fuzz face, but stripped down somewhat into the classic "One Knob Fuzz" of which there have been numerous variations over the decades.
One such variation is the Meathead, and still another variation of that is the Meathead Dark, which uses larger input and output caps to allow some of the lower frequencies to pass through. I have to try it but I suspect this would be very good on a bass guitar.
This enclosure features the original meat head, Michael Stivic from the classic sitcom All in the Family.
