Pom is an interactive installation inspired by Pong (Atari, Inc. , 1972). The original purpose and rules were maintained - avoid missing the ball for points - but the gameplay has been improved. Pom can be played by up to six players using smartphones!

To play, participants must download an application by their own means to their smartphone. After downloading the applications, players should connect to the "Pom" Wi-Fi network and run it.

Pom can be controlled by using the dedicated Android app Pomtroller available on Google Play.

iOS devices can be used with TuioPad, although some configuration is required:
Target IP: 192.168.1.1
Target Port: 3333
Screen Orientation: Landscape
Verbose TUIO: Yes
Pom at place. Two trackpads were added to the installation to compensate for the lack of smartphones.
Four people playing. The center bars represent each player's score. Players control their paddles sliding their fingers left and right.
The top of the box, featuring two trackpads and an instruction sheet. There is also a dedicated Android app for playing Pom : Pomtroller. The sheet describes how to install it and provides a QR Code to the download page. iThings also work to play Pom, but will have to resort to generic TUIO apps, like TuioPad or MSA Remote.
Screenshot of how it looks with six players. The longer people play, the harder the game gets: more and faster balls. When for example the orange player hits the ball, the ball turns orange. Then, if the ball crosses any of the other player's lines, orange scores. Conversely, if the ball crosses the orange player's line, he loses a point.

Score can be seen both in the paddle and in the center bars.
