A secure, corporate Intranet redesign for a mid-sized, international corporation. The client needed their existing Coldfusion Intranet converted to something more modern, mobile-friendly, and on a platform that was easy to use with an intuitive interface. Due to their existing familiarity with WordPress as a CMS for their client-facing websites, we used that along with some plugins to add drag-and-drop functionality, Intranet features, and community/forum features.
Because the client has multilingual employees across 5 continents, including parts of Africa with dialup speeds and parts of China that are firewall restricted, we also included Wordpress translation plugins and we did thorough testing and debugging to ensure the site loads in a reasonable time frame and is not blocked by firewalls in any region where the client does business.
