Bus Number - Thinking Design Challenge

For this challenge I was given the brief that I am the owner of a large bus company, a survey had went out to our customers and it was found that our numbering was confusing. As I was not given designs for how they looked initially for the customer I had to ask some general questions as to what a customer would want to be told from their bus numbering/signs. Also what would customers be able to relate to in a bus' electronic sign as it is well known customers generally cannot see the collerations when it comes to how bus numbering is designed.

I designed a small information sheet for the customers that shows how the new bus system would work. As you will see the customer will be able to gain information on the destination of their bus using 4 different areas of information: Area of the city, postcode, colour and the actual destination/route via.
This was labelled as a short "thinking" challenge as to how I would tackle the issue. I feel I dealt with it well considering the lack of information provided by tackling some real life issues that arise on bus routes around Glasgow's bus routes at the moment. At least one's that I myself struggle with and how I feel a wide range of customers from young to old and irregular to regular customers would face on a daily basis.
