Others, though, represent a merging of traditions: two or more good companies, each with its unique identity and loyal customer base, come together to create a new, expanded offering, where one plus one is greater than two.
Founded in 1982, Hemar Electronic is a leader in one of Switzerland’s key specialist industries:electronics manufacturing and services. Starting as an importer and reseller of components, it rapidly moved into offering customers the option of finished electronic assemblies, thanks to its solid partnershipswith manufacturing and testing partners.

From the beginning, the Hemar mission was to provide full service and support at every stage from initial selection of components and materials to final product launch. As a natural part of this full-service strategy Hemar acquired in 2010 SEFA S.A, a 40 year old family business with deep expertise in electronics engineering, prototyping, and mass production.
The combined business, Hemargroup, offers state-of-the-art facilities and know-how for every stage of the electronics manufacturing process: design consultancy, assembly, prototyping, testing, quality assurance, after sales service – even specialist transport – all in a competitive, innovative, reliable business model. The challenge, however, was to explain to a market used to dealing with two separate companies how theyfit together within a single strong new brand. Ander Group took up this challenge with a redesign of Hemargroup’s corporate identity and web presence.
Our goal was to take the best from both companies and make it into one, clear, marketing presence as a leader in integrated electronics manufacturing and services (EMS). We started with a new logo, choosing a modern bold font, a corporate green color that refers back to the particular shade of printed circuit boards, and a circle-and-line motif that recalls the circuit path and terminal. This logo says “EMS” – loud and clear.
We carried over this clean, bold look to the company’s letterhead and business cards. Long-standing customers of SEFA or Hemar will all see the values they have come to expect from both companies:accuracy, efficiency, and dedication to the electronics industry as a whole.
The fully-responsive Hemargroup website carries the corporate look forward, supporting it with a clear structure that explains both the proud traditions of the two joined companies and the full range of integrated services they the combined group offers.
