It's officialy september and the time to facelift the brand itself for the 2015-16 AW collection.

Commited to renewable and sustainbale materials Ostra Berdo designs a minimal accesories line that provides urban habitans with natural and ecofriendy detail to their outfits. With a magical and minimalistic design it accomodates natural, raw materials with never ageing clear design. Bold and simplified shapes are the basic of their sometimes mystical designs.
Holding great pride in being rooted in one of Eastern Europe's most pitoresques regions, they often allow local kraft and landscape inspire it's mood.
With most of their costumer contact happening online ( shop , facebook ), delivery is an important brand touchpoint.
Regular post delivery is a local mess and due to mishandling, the former, somewhat fragile packaging was a constant risk of damaging the design on their way to the new owner.
But they were not willing to give up the eco-friendly promise. The challenge was to come up with a new packaging design that will keep its minimalist characteristic, while using sustainable materials, being robust enough but not weighing too much.
The solution was adding just one obvious element:
the more robust (upcycled) cardboard box
with a twist...

Upon receiving the box it first looks like a greeting card/book hybrid.
It opens left and reveals the design in its own hollowed out area, just like if it were concealed in a book. Thus pursuing its elegance and preciousness staying loyal to its values.

A small blue sticker seals the rope that closes the box.
"Why does this matter? Because, while the mountains are still part of our home's window view each day, it all was the start of Ostra-Berdo as it is today."
