Restoration of "Livada Poștei" Park

RESTORATION OF "LIVADA POȘTEI" PARK FROM BRAȘOV, ROMANIA
Ideas competition
The park has an area of approx. 2.7 ha and is located on sloping land.
The new concept of the park had to meet the following criteria:
- full redevelopment of the park area
- a sustainable contemporary park, which should be a central interest in the city, consistently articulated in the green system of Brasov
- a space that differs from the traditional concept of the existing parks in Romania at this time.

On this project I was working in a team with another 3 friends and landscape architecture engineers too: Tiberius Savu, Radu Giurgiu and Ștefania Dobrican.

The space is divided into 8 different function areas. From the front entrance is seen an amphitheater that serves to support outdoor events such as concerts. This is only paved in some places to preserve and keep the dominating vegetation.
In the southern part of the park was set the playground divided by age and for children with disabilities, taking into consideration the standards for the location of children's playing area (the southern part of the park is the most sunny during the day). This space has been achieved on different levels of land and contains personalized elements that stimulates children's creativity, and the space for children with disabilities have special play items that were created to provide the same satisfaction by providing them with maximum security.
At the end of the alley located west was build a walkway, winding wooden shape, supported on wooden pillars, from which visitors can admire the whole park especially to enjoy views over the amphitheater. After the shape of the walkway were built  banks and behind them were placed pots of 130 cm (height determined for the plants that will grow to not disturb visitors sitting on benches).
