FFRENDI - Friendly front-end CSS

HDIP Thesis

Ffrendi is a friendly front-end to CSS. I designed and built the web app for my thesis as part of a HDip in Science in Computing, earlier this year.

As the abstract for the thesis explained,

This project looks at creating a front-end user interface to CSS. The project focuses on proving the concept that CSS can be mapped to tools that graphic designers are familiar with and creating a user interface and system around that concept.

The aim is that the resulting tool can be used by designers to create their website or application by designing within this new WYSIWYG environment using drag & drop functionality and sthen downloading the CSS file.

The resulting tool Ffrendi is a simple, but effective WYSIWYG tool for building CSS files.

This project is still under development as it is being prepared to be an open source application. The prototype as submitted as part of the thesis can be viewed here.
