18"x24", Charcoal, Pencil, Chalk Pastel, Spring 2015
I wanted to examine the sibling relationship between my brother and I through artwork. Everyone always says how much we look alike but I wanted to illustrate how different we truly are. Through a focus on eyes, eyebrows and hair, one can clearly see the contrast in features. The final piece was a hybrid: half me, half Marshall. From far away it's confusing, the viewer knows something's wrong but usually can't pinpoint it. There's something intriguing to me about the similiarities and differences of siblings. Even though we come from the same bloodline, we are detailed so differently.
