"Dreamers"

(acrylic, 5'x 4')
This is a cropped photo of “Dreamers,” acommissioned acrylic painting measuring 5’x4’.* I was handed a check by a generous friend and simply told to‘do something.’ After much self-doubt and deliberation, Iopted to work from a quote that impacted me in twobooks I was reading concurrently:
“All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream
with open eyes, to make it possible.” –T.E. Lawrence
Okay. So my girl’s eyes are closed, butyou get the point. The quote and the image speak to me about self- realization. We create our preferred futures every daywith our words and our actions. This project has run thegamut, exciting me, frustrating me, boring me, then invigoratingand inspiring me. I'm elated to see it completed.
