My Address Book's Elements
For this assignment, we were asked to make an address book of our own; we had to put in there the names of our classmates and include their addresses and cellphone numbers. We also had to include a city map where we would locate each of their homes, trace our school's bus routes, which are four, and add the location of three different supply stores for architects.
In this image, you can observe the elements I used for creating it: a white folder, a city map and two sheets of paper.
The First Page
This is my address book's first page, which is completely hand-made (we had the option to print out the design as well). On the left upper part I drew a person and I wrote ARQ (short for "arquitecto", Spanish for architect) because in this class, which is Design Fundamentals, there are both architects and industrial designers. On the middle upper section I drew a phone, and on the right upper part I added my name, student ID, the class' name and my group.
It can be observed that the page is divided in three columns. The first one contains my classmates' names ordered alphabetically, written in black ink , the second one has their cellphone numbers in blue ink, and the third one has their addresses in red ink.
The Second Page
The second page is very similar to the first one, but instead of having my information on the upper part of the addresses column, it has drawing of a yellow arrow pointing to a red dot. The reason for this is that I used little circular labels to locate my classmates' homes on the map.
The Third Page
My address book's third page is basically the same as the second one, but there are some differences. This one, instead of saying ARQ on the left upper part, says LDI, which is short for Licenciado en Diseño Industrial, Spanish for Industrial Design Undergraduate. Also, the dot on the uppert part of the addresses column is blue, because the circular labels I used on the map for locating their homes are blue.
The Map
This is a map of Hermosillo city. The location of each of my classmates' homes is indicated with either a red or a blue circular dot, depending on whether they are architecture students or industrial design students.
There are also theree yellow dots, which indicate the location of three different supply stores for architects.
I traced my school's bus routes with four color markers: red, orange, blue and green.
