These are the projects I completed in Graphic Pricipals 1 at Full Sail University. I learned so much in this class and I really enjoyed it. I'm hoping I enjoy GR2 just as much. I do not have many work in progress images I wish I would have thought about that during the process.
The first project was to create a self portrait using only the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. I had never used Illustrator let alone the pen tool so this was a bit rough but I caught on quickly and really like the pen tool now.

The next project was to recreate a movie poster with only five colors and the pen tool. I had a lot of fun with this one now that I was catching on. The five color (plus white or lack of color) was the most difficult part to me.

Our third project was a little more free in the rules. You just had to take a clients ideas for their concert poster and make them a reality. I was really surprised how well I was able to use the gradients and mesh tool to create the microphone. I love how this turned out. Art Deco was really fun to emulate.
"Client Sketch"
We had a few other small tutorial and projects in between these but I'll just stick with the major ones. The final project of the class was to create a travel poster using everything you had learned in the class. That was it just go for it. So I went a little out of the box and picked a fictional place. I love how the ship turned out its my favorite part. I had a really hard time with getting the right perspective on the island though.
