Especially Puglia (based in NYC) was born of Founder Michele Iadarola’s desire to introduce the rich culinary traditions of his native Puglia to fellow food enthusiasts. Located on the sunny southern coast of Italy, Puglia is one of the country’s most fertile regions. Celebrated for the quality and abundance of its olive trees, Puglia, is known throughout the Mediterranean for the quality and variety of its produce and its robust local cuisine.
Fruits, vegetables, nuts, pulses, and grains — including durum wheat, used for pasta and bread — all thrive in Puglia’s sun-soaked soil, and are the foundation of the region`s vibrant cuisine. With FarmShare, subscribers receive a hand-crafted wooden crate with a selection of artisan foods that vary each season, from tomatoes, eggplant and artichokes jarred at peak ripeness, to sauces and pasta. Each share has complementary ingredients to help you prepare traditional Pugliese meals.
