I recently embarked on a study abroad trip with the Kansas City Art Institute to Italy. During my 6 week stay, I visited Rome, Florence, Fiesole, Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, Lucca, and Venice. While I was there I took a drawing class, and a Renaissance Art History course taught in front of all of the subjects of art. I decided to start a poster series to reflect upon the cities that influence me the most, starting with Rome and Florence. Italy's rich and vibrant culture is something I wanted to illustrate and share with others; showing my experiences visually seems to make the most sense.
