The work is about identification of individuals and the unification of mass. How do we perceive the others? Why do we make general statements about certain groups even if we don’t know anybody in this group? What is the reason for it? And does the mass have a ‚face’?

I started with a group of tourists, flowing around Salzburg. I found these funny hats as the object, which is a mandatory attribute of tourists. The more I looked the more I saw this as the uniform of the mass of people. Why do they stay in a group, why do they take the same photos and what will the world be like if their thoughts were even the same? 

 

I provided the perfomance action presenting the Salzhead on the street in return for the anwswers why people are there and what are they looking for? 

 

The outcome of the work is the big wall in Museum of Public Space, which consists of hats of different people, who visited Salzburg.
