Ulta UI/UX Refresh, Part One

Ulta UI/UX Refresh, Part One

As an avid user of Ulta.com, I’ve always been frustrated by the site layout and functionality. My goal with this “refresh” is to improve functionality and streamline the design while remaining within Ulta’s current color scheme and brand identity. Small tweaks for major functional impact.
By placing the navigation under a hamburger menu, space is immediately freed up and content is no longer restricted to the right side of the page.   The size of the carousel is reduced in favor of a larger and more visible navbar.  The redundant coupons are removed and replaced by the search bar.
Specificity in the navigation is reduced making it less visually overwhelming
Section headlines have been made more distinct. Product images and descriptions line up to create visual symmetry.  The "view all" links in each section add functionality, allowing users to see all new or bestselling products at a glance.
In-store service graphics are made similar for cohesiveness.  Social icons are larger, footer no longer blends into background.
