This Design Received Third Place
The Endangered Wildlife Trust held a competition for graphic design students to design an eco - label with the theme, "Oxpecker Compatible" product identification.
These birds are very important to the ecosystem, they remove ticks and other ectoparasites from both cattle and game. The birds suffered severe population decline in South Africa due to the use of cattle dips containing arsenic and organophosphates.
The idea behind eco - label is to create awareness to farmers in which dips are the most appropriate to use depending on areas these birds are found.
