During this years IBug festival, I had the chance to build this 3-dimensional letterset on a wall of the industrial complex of a former coffee roastery in Plauen, Germany. Again, the idea is to confuse perception through the use of vertical and horizontal lines, causing it to “tilt”. Further on, the wood-cut letters are mounted to the wall with a distance, intesifying the optical illusion, as the already confused vision is disturbed in finding fixed points to measure the depth of the forms properly.
